At the End of March

Almost every sunrise looks like an upside down rainbow.

It's neat how the colors of the sky change and move.

Later on in the morning.

Colors of the field and sky.

One of my Easter projects.

This afternoon our Grandparents, Mom, and us all helped to get our sort of small garden ready for spring planting.

A Bright Day

This morning I saw this sunrise and figured I'd take a picture when out of the woods came a small flock of birds to land in the photo.

A photo later on in the morning.

We also saw a band of robins in our yard.

See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Matthew 6:26

Mountains in March

Last weekend my family and I went with our Grandparents to our cabin in Center County, PA.
We had mild weather and sunshine which made our trip enjoyable.

Saturday I saw an abandoned bird's nest off the front of our deck.

This mossy log reminds me that the life of spring is coming soon.

When we left on Sunday it looked like we would've been in for some rain.
We all enjoyed our vacation together.

New morning

St. Patricks Day

For this St. Patrick's Day, Mom left a note saying that she had hidden some "treasures" out in yon yard for us "blymies" to find. The "treasures" consisted of Airhead lollipops whose stems were firmly pressed into the ground.

For lunch we had lime-lemon drink with Irish Soda bread, and in the middle of the table was a four-leafed paper clover which Mom had made that morning. It was a fun, green day.

CSI Live

Last Wednesday we went to the Pullo Center on the Penn State Campus to see an example of how crime investigators find the criminal by finding out lots of evidence from suspects. Even though it was a very simple demonstration it was neat to see some of the ways they solve investigations. (Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures during the show.)

Tree Buds

One of my favorite things about the beginning of spring is that it means new life for every plant and living thing.

Joel 2:22
Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength.

Dawn

6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. ~Psalm 37:6 TNIV

Almost every morning I try to capture the beauty of a sunrise. This was one of the most beautiful ones that I've seen.

Amy's Tunnel

The next day after the snow, I took Amy outside to try out the new tunnel in the cornfield. On the way back she tried to take shortcuts across the snowdrifts, so I had to carry her back home.

Snowy Day

This morning we were surprised to see it snowing. After awhile it was deep enough to go outside and enjoy. We actually really enjoyed a Monday!

Today Mom made M&M cookies. Fortunately, she put in 3 times as much sugar by accident, which made it more enjoyable!
